HIBBING — Hibbing Community College invites area businesses and community organizations to the 2018 Campus & Community Block Party on Wednesday, Sept. 26. More than 1,000 new and returning students, faculty, staff and community members will pass through this event.
Here, organizations will make valuable connections with the HCC campus — finding potential customers, connecting with students, locating volunteers and employees or to get the word out about a service you offer. Participating organizations are encouraged to hand out brochures or give away “freebies” and coupons (please refrain from selling items).
The block party will be located in the HCC Commons. The event will be open to attendees from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants must set up at 10:30 a.m. Tear down will occur from 1-1:30 p.m. The event includes a free lunch and plenty of opportunities for networking. This is a great way for you to connect with other businesses, HCC students, faculty and staff.
There is a fee of $15 to participate in the event. All proceeds go to the Hibbing Community College Foundation for student scholarships. Space reservations will be honored on a first-come, first serve basis and no electrical plugins will be available. To receive a registration form for your organization by e-mail, please contact Aaron Brown at aaronbrown@hibbing.edu or call 218-262-7213.
The event is organized by the Hibbing Community College student senate.
