Dear Governor Walz,

There are some questions that should be answered before the State of Minnesota decides to raise our taxes again. First, we were told that we should approve the lotto because that money would help fix our public education system and roads. Where is this money going and how is it being spent? Then, we were told that we should raise the sales tax from 4 percent to 6 percent, pretty sure it is more than that, at this point, because we needed that money for education and fixing the roads. Where is this money going and how is it being spent? Then, we were told that we should approve casino gambling, because that money would, you guessed it, would go to education and fixing our roads. Where is this money and how is it being spent? Then we raised the gas tax and vehicle registration to fix the roads. Where is this money and how is it being spent? Then we were told that we should legalize marijuana and use the tax revenue for education and fixing the roads. That is still up in the air to some degree. Now after all of this and the fact that our education system is not that great and our roads are even worse than that! Our politicians have decided that we need to raise our gas tax, water recreation vehicle tax and whatever else you feel you should do to fix the roads and the education system! Enough of the lies, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Sincerely,

Jack Baratto, a very concerned citizen of Hibbing, Minn.
