A huge thank you is in order for the kind folks of the Hibbing community. HHS Student Council is so thankful for each and every person who took time out of their day to donate school supplies to the students of ISD 701. A special thank you to Shubat transportation Dustin Davidson for allowing us to borrow the bus for the day. Also we would like to thank Tyler Glad ISD 701 Buildings and Grounds supervisor for allowing us to use the bus garage as our donation site. Great Job HHS Student Council members! Your advisors are so proud of your efforts for this school service project! ( Submitted by Mrs. Carrie Fawkes, Mrs. Dana Lindstrom & Mrs. Sara Merfeld)
Kudos to all the people who take time to look up from their phones to realize you need to have eye to eye human contact with others. We are losing a sense of companionship — Share a story, a laugh, a wonder you learned. Just simply be with someone without social media. (Submitted by Jeanine Fox)
Kudos to Bettie Valley for providing us with the five best days of summer for 25 years. Happy well deserved retirement to Bettie, and hopefully the fair will continue to grow and prosper as it has done so beautifully under her guidance.
Kudos to Norma and Bill Schleppegrell who celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this week. One can’t find a more giving, caring, open minded and all embracing couple than them. What role models they have been and continue to be for us all.
