Guardians of the Flame

The 2019 Special Olympics Torch Run was held Monday morning, beginning at the corner of First Avenue and Howard Street in Hibbing, ending at the Hibbing Police Department. Leading the pack with the "Flame of Hope" was Hibbing Police Chief Steve Estey. During the special torch run law enforcement, Special Olympic athletes and others run the "Flame of Hope" throughout the host country for the games to spread awareness for Special Olympics and ends with the lighting of the cauldron at the opening ceremonies.
