Fairview Range Welcomes Dr. Stacey Helland

HIBBING — Fairview Range is pleased to welcome Stacey Helland, DPM, to its medical staff.

Dr. Helland specializes in surgical and non-surgical treatments to treat foot and ankle problems. She received her medical degree from Des Moines University in Iowa and completed her residency at Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Helland is familiar with the Iron Range as she graduated from Eveleth Gilbert High School and Mesabi Range College before going on to receive her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth. She is a running enthusiast and enjoys performing in and attending theater and musical events. She and her husband are excited to be living and working in northern Minnesota.

Dr. Helland will be seeing patients at Fairview Mesaba Clinics in Hibbing, Nashwauk and Mountain Iron and performing surgery at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing as well as at Northwoods Surgery Center in Virginia, beginning August 16.

Orthopaedic Associates teams up with Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital

GRAND RAPIDS — Orthopaedic Associates is pleased to announce three of their surgeons will provide orthopaedic services at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital beginning in August.

Orthopaedic Associates believes it’s important to continue to serve patients closer to home, which is why they have partnered with Grand Itasca – in Grand Rapids. Three of their highly qualified surgeons will remain serving patients with anything from injuries to recurring joint pain.

The three surgeons who will see patients are Dr. Peter G. Goldschmidt, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, also specializing in hand surgery, Dr. Joshua J. Rother, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine as well as joint reconstruction, and Dr. Ryan R. Reinking, a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and podiatrist. Combined, they will provide comprehensive orthopaedic care.

LBH announces clinic opening in Hibbing

HIBBING — Lakeview Behavioral Health (LBH) is pleased to announce the opening of its new outpatient mental health and substance use disorder clinic in Hibbing.

“Our new clinic location allows us to better accommodate our growing network of providers, and to offer the communities we serve a more comprehensive continuum of mental health and substance use disorder services.” The new clinic’s address is 2729 East 13th Street, Hibbing, which is conveniently located in close proximity to Mesaba Fairview Clinic on the East Beltline.

LBH is comprised of a team of mental health providers collaborating to provide a holistic approach that is individualized and patient centered.

The behavioral mental health services provided at LBH’s new location include but are not limited to: psychiatric consultations and evaluations, genetic testing, medication-assisted therapy, medication management, diagnostic assessments, individual counseling, marriage and family therapy, co-occurring therapy and child play therapy.

LBH also offers telepsychiatry services when on-site services are not available or would be delayed because of distance, location or time of day.

LBH currently provides adult outpatient Substance Use Disorder services at this location which are individualized, clinically-driven and outcome-based. The length of time is dependent upon the client’s progress and special needs.

LBH utilizes a 3-Phase step down Intensive Outpatient Program, available both day and evenings, consisting of individual and group therapy sessions allowing clients to gain an understanding of the body and brain disease concept of addiction, increase personal motivation for change, develop the skills necessary to change their substance use in a supportive setting, and then to practice and integrate those skills into their daily lives outside of treatment.

LBH also provides Suboxone and Vivitrol Medication-Assisted treatment services.

Lakeview Behavioral Health also currently provides outpatient mental health and substance use disorder services at two locations in Grand Rapids.
