Upcoming Programs

Friday, June 14, 28, at 10 a.m.: Baby Story Time. Join librarian Emily for Baby Story Time. What’s Baby Story Time all about? Well, there are fun songs and great stories. Get that baby out and about and socializing! Learn the building blocks of literacy, which will increase your child’s educational success. This program is for babies aged 6 months to 24 months old.

Tuesday, June 18, 25, at 10 a.m.: Story Time! Are you ready for a crazy good time? Do you know a particular someone that has a lot of youthful energy? Come shake out your sillies and join April in the children’s room by the fireplace. Story Time is a fun-filled hour of amazing stories, silly songs, cool crafts, and other fantastic activities. This program is open to all ages and is suitable for anyone who likes fun.

Tuesday, June 18, 25 at 5:30 p.m.: Zumba Class. Working out should be three things: effective, FUN and makes you feel GREAT! Zumba fitness classes are all of the above!! Zumba fitness classes are a dance inspired cardio program that use Latin and International music to create a fun, upbeat, and unique class experience. Zumba classes are for ALL fitness levels--from beginners to enthusiasts. Join the party and leave with a smile!

Thursday, June 20, at 1 p.m.: The Brodini Comedy Magic Show. Brodini offers fun and exciting magic tricks that are so cool you won’t believe your eyes! Magician Graylyn Morris will raise spirits and test kids’ powers of concentration as he manipulates ropes, scarves, balls, and other magician props in a perplexing “now you see it, now you don’t” performance! Family-friendly program is for all ages, sponsored by Kids Stuff.

Thursday, June 20, at 3 p.m.: Knitting and Needlework Group. Join us every other Thursday of the month between 3 and 5 pm to share and learn tips, talk, and enjoy the fun while you do your craft of choice. Bring your own project and supplies. No registration required. This program is designed for ages 12 and up.

Monday, June 24, at 1 p.m.: Family Movie Afternoon! Join us in the auditorium for a fun afternoon movie!

Wednesday, June 26, at 3:15 p.m.: Escape the 80s! This escape room is back by popular demand! Sessions start at 3:15 a new one will begin every 45 minutes. Put together a team of up to 5 people. This escape room is for ages 10 and up, and perfect for families. Teams will have 30 minutes to escape the room based on 1980’s movies and TV shows. Registration and a $5.00 donation per person are required. Kids may bring in their Summer Reading “Reading Rocks” Brag Tag to get in free! Visit the library to reserve your date and time. Payment by cash or check is due by the Monday of the week of your reservation. All proceeds will be used to support library programs.

Thursday, June 27, at 1 p.m.: Tie Dye Fun. This is an intergenerational program where you make a tie-dye shirt. We will provide gloves and rubber bands! Bring your own white cotton T-shirt or other white clothing. Groups of 20 or more must pre-register a week before event. Large groups will be asked to arrive at 2:00.

Friday, June 28, at 1 p.m.: Family Fun Yoga. Bring those closest to you and experience the joy of yoga together! Bring your own mat.

Hibbing Public Library Hours: Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Saturday and Sunday).
