GET IN SHAPE — Twice a week, we offer the RSVP Bone Builders exercise class. This is a group exercise class that was created for adults that are interested in reducing or preventing osteoporosis. The group has coffee and conversation right after. A great way to start your Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. Space is limited. Call ahead to find out more 218-262-4166.

COOK AROUND THE WORLD — with a full-sized kitchen, the center serves up cooking opportunities. Join our Sarma Club! We make sarmas once per month. Our next date is being planned for April. Both new sarma makers and experienced sarma makers are welcome. We also make pasties and poticas. We can always use help. Call 218-262-4166 to sign up or learn more.

RESOURCES FOR SENIORS — our center provides a plethora of brochures and documents to aid seniors in staying safe and smart. Our brochures include information on: Personal Safety, Home Security, Identity Theft, Cons & Scams, Medicare, Avoiding Falls and more.

DEFENSIVE DRIVING CLASSES — our center serves as the home for Retired Highway Patrolman Mike Flatley’s defensive driving classes. We offer both the initial 8-hour course, as well as the 4-hour refresher courses. The next open refresher class will be held Thursday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The next initial 8-hour class is coming up Tuesday and Thursday, April 23 and 25, from 5 to 9 p.m. Call ahead to be placed on the wait list. SOCIALIZATION & GAMES, GAMES & MORE GAMES — looking to get out and socialize? Our center offers all of the following games and activities for seniors: Cards, Cribbage, Dime Bingo, and introducing… Mahjong- a Chinese tile game. Mahjong is every Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Stop by and pick up a calendar or call for details on game days and times.

TECHNOLOGY LABS — Do you love your cell phone, but are constantly frustrated with not understanding how it works? We offer monthly technology labs. The next Tech Lab will be held Tuesday, May 21, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Please call ahead to schedule your 20-minute block with our technology expert. This class is designed for introductory help only. Don’t forget your device… cell phone, tablet, I-pads or laptop.

SHOP OUR UNIQUE BOUTIQUE — Our Tourist Center gift shop offer items specific to Minnesota, Hibbing, the Iron Range, hunting, fishing, the Hull Rust Mine View and more! Hosting visitors to the area? Visit us and re-discover Hibbing! We’re the town that moved, the home of Bob Dylan and so much more! Stop by for an education on what makes Hibbing an amazing place to visit and live! We are open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday or by appointment for a private shopping event! Don’t forget to take home your sarmas, pasties and poticas!

HALL RENTAL — Our hall seats up to 70 people comfortably and has a kitchen which is available to rent. Members receive a generous discount when renting the hall. We also rent the hall to non-members. Think of us if you’re having a wedding shower, baby shower, retirement party, birthday party, rummage sale or any other event. Call ahead for an appointment to go over the details- 218-262-4166.
