DULUTH — Emily Jane Degnan and Alexander Wesley Jones were united in marriage on July 18, 2015, at the Greysolon Ballroom in Duluth. Dr. Michael Raich officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Sound of Strings of Duluth.
Parents of the couple are Mike and Beth Degnan of Side Lake, and Richard and Louise Jones of St. Paul, Minn.
Emily was given in marriage by her father. Maids of honor were the bride’s sisters: Hattie and Britta Degnan of St. Louis Park, Minn., and Daisy Degnan of Side Lake. Bridesmaids were Shannon McCauley and Stephani Gherity of Minneapolis, Kristina Dittrich of New Ulm, Minn, and Natalie Jones, sister of the groom, of St. Paul. Personal attendant was Alexia Smith of Minneapolis.
Best men were Taite Smith and Nate Grinager of Minneapolis. Groomsmen were Erik Huckle, Matt Rotenberg, Matt McCormic, Brett Howels and Chris Kasdagly of Minneapolis. Ushers were Reilly and Curran Dougherty, and Dan Buettner and Kevin Freund, all of Minneapolis.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Greysolon Ballroom, with entertainment by Sound of String.
Emily is a 2005 graduate of Hibbing High School and attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn., earning a chemistry degree. She earned a pharmacy doctorate from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She is a currently a pharmacist/pharmacy manager at Walgreens in Golden Valley, Minn.
Alexander is a 2005 graduate of St. Paul Academy High School and attended Gustavus Adolphus College majoring in communications, with a minor in philosophy. He is currently the managing director of consulting services at Mindset Consulting.
The French Riviera, France, was the destination wedding trip.
They reside in St. Louis Park, Minn.
