Where have they gone, Joe DiMaggio?
Posted: December 13, 2014

GRAND RAPIDS — This week’s title comes from two back in the day referents. The first is the early ‘90s when our family (mandatory) gathered around our rabbit-eared black and white television to watch PBS fundraisers featuring ‘50s and ‘60s folk singers and rock groups. Two songs I vividly remember are Peter, Paul and Mary’s “Puff the Magic Dragon” (written by Leonard Lipton and Peter Yarrow, what kid doesn’t like it?) and “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” (written by Pete Seeger).
