Virginia A. Ronchetti, 83, of Hibbing, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Hibbing.

She was born Aug. 1, 1926 in Hibbing, the daughter of Domenic and Mary Montelioni. She graduated from the Wisconsin Teachers School in 1948 and had been a teacher for the Meadowlands school district.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was also a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, the Italian American Club, VFW Auxiliary, and the Sewing Club. Besides her dedication as a homemaker, Virginia also was very active with her church.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Carleen) of Duluth, Bruce (Diane) of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeff (Lanae) of Hibbing, and Mary (David) Hydukovich of Gilbert; sisters, Phyllis Sterle of Hibbing, Doretta (John) George of Fridley, Minn., Grace (Fred) Zbacnik of Hibbing, Gloria Corradi of Chisholm and Clara Kearney of Hibbing; grandchildren, Brent and Kristin Ronchetti, Adam and Kevin Ronchetti, Paul and Christopher Hydukovich, and, Peter, Sean, Nicole and Sarah Ronchetti.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial.

Visitation: Will be held from 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at the church.

Burial: Will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
