The Hibbing Daily Tribune, founded in 1893, is the Central Iron Range’s leading source of advertising, news and information. Located at 2142 First Avenue, Hibbing, the Hibbing Daily Tribune and its companion TMC product, Manney’s Shopper, serves the west central St. Louis County and eastern Itasca County in Minnesota, with a penetration rate of 95 percent of households in the area.

The mining town of Hibbing is known as:The Town That Moved, The Grand Canyon of the North - World's Largest Open Pit Iron Ore Mine, and the Iron Capital of the World. It is the home of the Greyhound Bus Museum, Hibbing Historical Society & Museum, Hull Rust Mine View, Paulucci Space Theatre, Bob Dylan Collection and Exhibit. It is the former home of Bob Dylan, Kevin McHale, Vincent Bugliosi, Roger Maris, Jeno Paulucci, Rudy Perpich, Gary Puckett, and Dick Garmaker. THE STAFF
Wanda Moeller is a native of Iowa and a graduate of Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa, with degrees in Mass Communications and Political Science. She began her newspaper career as a newsroom librarian/cub reporter in 1982, at the Clinton Herald, Iowa, daily newspaper, after completing newspaper internships as the Preston Times (Iowa) and the Detroit Free Press (Mich.). She spent two decades as a reporter and editor at various weekly and daily newspapers in Storm Lake, Indianola and Pella, and Cascade, Iowa, as well as in Walker and Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In August of 2002, Moeller was named publisher of the Sawyer County Record in Hayward, Wis. While in Hayward, she named the recipient of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association's highest journalism honor - the Freedom of Information Award - for her diligence in covering unethical hiring and illegal practices in the city of Hayward.
She has won several dozen writing, photography and design awards during the past two decades from the National Newspaper Association, the Associated Press Sports Writers Association, as well as the state press associations in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Her exclusive news photographs also have appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS as well as several national and world news publications. Moeller is a graduate of the Blandin Community Leadership program, Blandin Publishers and Editors Leadership Program and the American Press Institute Community Journalism program.
She became publisher of the Hibbing Daily Tribune and Chisholm Tribune Press in January 2005. She is active in the Hibbing Noon Rotary Club where she is past president and serves on its board of directors. She's also a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she is a eucharistic minister and also serves on the board of the Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce. She and her beloved dog, Cassidy, make their home in Hibbing.
A native of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Grinsteinner has made Hibbing home since 1999, when she was hired as a staff writer immediately following college. She was named Assistant Editor in 2006. She graduated from the College of St. Benedict with a bachelor’s degree in communication and minor concentrations in English and German. Grinsteinner is the recipient of a Freedom of Information honor from the Associated Press and was recognized in the personality/individual profile category in the Inland Press Association national news writing contest. She has won awards from the Minnesota Newspaper Association and was awarded the Frank Oberg Award from the Minnesota State Fire Chief's Association, among other accolades. Grinsteinner is a graduate of the Blandin Publishers and Editors Leadership Program and the Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Program. She is currently a member of the Hibbing Healthy Lifestyles Coalition.
She is married to Jeff, and has two stepdaughters, Maddy and Hunter.
Born and raised in Hibbing, Minn., Gary Giombetti has been the sports editor of the HIbbing Daily Tribune for more than 20 years. He graduated from Bemidji State University with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education. He has won awards from the Minnesota Newspaper Association and the Associated Press Sports Writers Association. He and his wife, Diana, reside in HIbbing and have a son, Tony.
